Hello

Ariel Oakes is one of two co-owners at Orchard Flower Farm. She is a passionate grower, nurse, wife and mom to three. She is also that crazy neighbor who tore out bushes to plant more flowers. She is a stickler for all things local, and knew after growing a few beds of cut flowers a couple of years ago she needed to grow more to supply beautiful blooms to the Grand Valley. Reconnecting with Calyn over a mutual love of flowers led this duo to grow bigger together in 2022.

Calyn Boone is a North Carolina native who has lived in the Grand Valley since 2011 (CO since 2009). Her family consists of her husband, Sean, their 2 daughters, and all of their animals. Calyn started The Unbridled Bouquet in 2021, growing cut-flowers out of her (and her MIL's) yard for small bouquets. Her only goal was to keep plants alive and learn a lot! She reconnected with Ariel and was inspired to dream, learn (and fail), and grow on a bigger scale.

We decided to join forces in 2022 and start Orchard Flower Farm. It was a rollercoaster of emotions with extreme highs and lows of successes and failures. We hosted a farm event, flower bars, joined the Crossorchards Farmer's Market mid-season and all around enjoyed being out in the community making connections.
